Aussie Grabs World Record Shark
Well, he’s no Frank Mundus, but he did make the shark-hunting history books. News broke out of Sydney, Australia that angler Brett Sinclair reeled in a 575-pound Tiger Shark yesterday — the biggest ever caught with a 13-pound line.
Sinclair was taking part in the Dampier Classic fishing competition near Port Headland when he snagged the monster, which shatters the previous record for that size line by over 220 pounds.
Congratulations, Brett. All you need to do to have Steven Spielberg create a blockbuster film based on your adventures is grab a rod and reel and catch something that exceeds the likes of 3,427-lb. great white.
