The pilot who spun out of control into the East River yesterday while giving a site seeing tour that killed one person, has experience in crash landings, and also has a house in the Hamptons.
From nydailynews.com In 2006, Paul Dudley, 56, was flying his Cessna airplane from the Hamptons to Linden, N.J., when the engine started to sputter out over Coney Island.
Dudley, who has homes in the Hamptons and Staten Island, runs the Linden Municipal Airport in New Jersey and once put in a bid to manage the heliport off Wall St.
