Help This Southampton Teacher Get Some Crayons For Her Students
I just received an e-mail from Tony Vargas this morning who is a photographer here at Dan’s Papers and also works part time as substitute teacher at the Southampton Elementary School. The e-mail he sent out this morning is a call for help to buy basic products for the students that he is working with who have families on limited budgets. I thought that any of you who need a little more good karma in your life might be interested. Pre-K kids should be able to have crayons for crying out loud, especially in a community as rich as Southampton!
Dear Friends,
I need your help! I have been a substitute teacher with Mrs. Hague in her classroom with PRE-K students, they are 4 year olds. The class breakdown is a total of 16 of the sweetest kids you ever would want to meet.
On Friday, January 20th from 6 to 7:30 pm, Mrs. Hague and myself along with some other teacher volunteers are conducting a workshop for parents to show them what activities they can do with their kids in order to supplement the school lessons at home. Unfortunately, the school budget does NOT have monies to buy supplies for the parents to have at home. These hard working parents have limited funds and barely can make ends meet.
Mrs. Hague needs the following – I ask you to be generous and buy some of the needed materials and send them to Mrs. Hague or drop them off at the Elementary School where she works in Southampton. Please let me know or Mrs. Hague (her e-mail is below) what supplies you may be donating so I can remove that item from the list.
