If you haven’t been outside in the Hamptons today, you are really screwing up.
It is literally January, and it’s 50 degrees outside and sunny, and it feels like 60 degrees. The ocean today is rough, making it one of those rare days where the sun is shining, the sky is blue, but the sea’s waves are crashing loudly on the beach and the ocean lets you know how small you are.
I’m writing this post at 1 p.m. today, and after stepping through town in Southampton, EVERYBODY is out. The town is bustling, a lot of people have come out from the city because we all knew this was coming since Thursday, and all in all it is a good thing.
It does, however, feel a bit unnatural. There is nothing you can really do, so you have to enjoy it, but it shouldn’t be this warm in January. Anybody else out there a little bothered by the weather? Or are you happy about it?
