Day Laborers In Southampton Stage Anti-Protest
Two men in Southampton that were protesting illegal immigration outside of 7-11 yesterday morning were met with an anti-protest that drew loud shouting and a police response.
No arrests were made and the crowd was broken up peacefully.
Approximately 20 latino protesters surrounded the two men and held up signs that read, ““You get paid to hate. We get paid to work” and other slogans, that were no pro-immigration, but specifically protesting against the two men.
The two men, who have been protesting for years outside of 7-11 in Southampton, for more than four years, have been accused by some for being paid to stand outside every week with anti-immigrant signs and shouting out at cars that drive by.
