Pig Roast Benefit For The Children Of Chef Keith Greene
A benefit for the children of Chef Keith Greene, who died drowning in Southampton while swimming in the ocean, has been set for September 22nd. The benefit will include a horseshoe tournament, and will take place at the North Sea Fire Department Memorial Athletic Field at 1 p.m.
Keith was 35 years-old and was from Hampton Bays, He was the head chef at Schmidt’s Seafood Market in North Sea and Schmidt’s Market in Southampton Village, and was also a popular chef on the show, “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox.
He left behind a two-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son, as well as his wife. The proceeds of the fundraiser/benefit will go directly to the future of his two children.
Admission to the benefit is $20, entry into the horseshoe tournament is $50 per competitor. The benefit will also have a 50/50 raffle at $2 a ticket or six for $10.
