During a BookHampton tour last weekend, best–selling author Nelson DeMille stopped at the company’s Mattituck, Southampton and East Hampton locations to sign copies of his new book The Panther and answer questions.
Poet Mark Doty will share excerpts from the Best American Poetry of 2012, an anthology he guest-edited, at Canio’s Books in Sag Harbor this weekend. Doty’s work has received numerous honors, including the National Book Award for Poetry in 2008, a Whiting Writers Award and two Lambda Literary Awards.
The New York Times best-selling author Susan Isaacs participated in Writers Speak Wednesdays at Stony Brook Southampton last week. Isaacs has written 13 novels and the screenplays for Compromising Positions and Hello Again.
On Wednesday, December 5, the blog Kindle Nation Daily picked North Haven author Peter Boody‘s novel Thomas Jefferson, Rachel & Me as its eBook of the Day. Published as an eBook in 2010, the book is about a retired history teacher who meets Thomas Jefferson and gives him a tour of modern America. It was also released in paperback form this spring.
Boody is a former editor of The Shelter Island Reporter and The East Hampton Press.
East Hampton author Tim Ferriss‘ new tome, The 4-Hour Chef made history last week by becoming the first BitTorrent best-seller. It also became a #1 best-seller on Amazon and most major best-seller lists, including The New York Times.
