Anderson Cooper Guest Stars on "The Simpsons"
Quiogue resident Anderson Cooper will lend his voice to an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. In the episode, the famed CNN newsman moderates Lisa Simpson’s second-grade class election as well as a presidential debate set 30 years in the future.
Other Hamptonites who have “appeared” on The Simpsons include Jon Stewart, Brooke Shields, Mel Brooks, Regis Philbin, Alec Baldwin, Richard Gere, George Plimpton, J. K. Rowling, Kim Cattrall, Tom Wolfe, Peter Bogdanovich, Martha Stewart, James Lipton, Cheech Marin, Tom Colicchio, David Byrne and Bill Clinton (but didn’t provide the voice), among others.
The Simpsons earned the Guinness World Record for “Most Guest Stars Featured in a TV Series” in 2010.
