Westhampton Bodybuilder Places Twice on Saturday
Westhampton bodybuilder and celebrity trainer Kate Roy earned two awards this weekend in the National Physique Committee Long Island Championship at Babylon High School on Saturday.
Roy flexed her muscles and posed to place third in the Figure A, short (5-foot and 0.5 inches and under), and fourth in the Masters (35 years and older) competitions. Roy regularly competes in events by National Physique Committee (NPC), the largest amateur bodybuilding organization in the nation. She competes locally and nationally.
On Saturday, Roy said she was exhausted after the event because of dehydration. Before competitions, bodybuilders stop drinking water in order to make their muscles more pronounced and defined.
