Landscape Pleasures at Parrish Art Museum

Themed “Modernism, Minimalism, and Meadows,” this year’s Landscape Pleasures benefit is inspired from the landscape and architecture of the new Parrish museum building. Three accomplished professionals in the field will discuss landscape architecture. This precedes the garden tours in Sagaponack and North Haven, including the Perlbinder House, a 20-acre oceanfront property designed by celebrated architect Norman Jaffe. Christopher’s 5K Run/Walk

Agawam Park, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton
Participate in a charitable run named in memory of Christopher Lesta, a young local boy, who was born with Hunter Syndrome and died in 2007. The proceeds go to Duke University Medical Center’s Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant Family Support Progam. Event includes a kids’ fun run, raffle, Chinese and Silent Auction and 5K race. Long Island Tour de Cure 2013

This American Diabetes Association cycling event is part of the movement to stop diabetes. Featuring routes of various lengths and skill levels, riders help raise money to stop this devastating disease. The routes are safe, supervised and supporters are placed along the way with water and nutritious snacks. All routes start and end at Pindar. After the ride, mingle and enjoy a barbecue, music, a Health and Wellness Village, kids’ zone and more. Registration is required at diabetes.org/tourdecurelongisland.
