Jay-Z Announces 12th Album
It’s a busy month for Hamptons alum Jay-Z. The announcement of his 12th album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, was delivered through a Samsung advertisement during the fifth game of the NBA finals this past Sunday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Jay-Z received $5 million in advance sales from Samsung for the album release. Good thing too, since last year’s Bridgehampton summer rental put him out $400k a month, and July is around the corner.
At his 40/40 Club’s 10th anniversary party in New York City, Jay-Z didn’t celebrate without his better half, Beyonce, who made a stunning appearance in a white Roberto Cavalli dress to support her husband.
Bey still has plenty on her plate between daughter Blue Ivy and working on her fifth album, though its release might be farther away than anticipated. Rapper Ne-Yo, who works closely with both Beyonce and Jay-Z, seems to think the record is still not ready, though it’s been in production since Beyonce reportedly started working on it last summer in the Hamptons.
Keep an eye out for this infamous power couple. Despite their busy schedule, the pair always gets out to the Hamptons for a summer getaway.
