Bar 21 Brings Hamptons Mondays to NYC
We can’t have all Hamptons all the time… can we?
If you can’t actually make it out from Manhattan to the Hamptons, or you’re back to work on Monday and already missing that East End pad, don’t fret—Hamptons living is alive and well in the Big Apple!
For three weeks in July and August, Bar 21 at the 21 Club is declaring Mondays, “Hamptons Mondays.” From 6–8 p.m. the bar will be introducing a wine tasting series of local Long Island wines, each presented by a rep from that week’s chosen vineyard. And because nothing in New York is ever served solo, the libations will be paired with small portions of Executive Chef John Greeley’s bar food—all sourced from NY producers to bring a bit of Hamptons ambiance to the table. Offerings include things like mini burgers, duck confit and lobster tacos.
This coming Monday, July 29, Hamptons Mondays will feature Bedell Cellars, followed by Onabay Vineyards on Monday, August 5 and Pellegrini Vineyards on August 19. Click here to see the complete tasting menu.
Since July 8, the upscale bar has even modified its usually strict dress code to “summer chic” for eight weeks, until August 31, though don’t expect to get in wearing swim trunks, a Hawaiian shirt and flip flops. Thanks to Bar 21 at the 21 Club, for $45, part-timers already missing their East End weekend can buy a little piece of the Hamptons in Midtown.
The 21 Club’s Bar 21 is located at 21 West 52nd Street in Manhattan. Call 212-582-7200 for reservations.
