This morning in Southampton I worked out with the world famous American fitness model and creator of the JNL Fusion program, Jennifer Nicole Lee at Jill Zarin‘s absolutely gorgeous summer home. The workout took place outside on the back deck, which has an infiniti pool that overlooks the the bay.
It was pretty hot outside, but I didn’t care because all I could think about was keeping up with Jennifer who was motivating a group of about 20 people through her workout routine. Jill Zarin, from The Real Housewives of New York City, and her daughter were working out together at the event, along with other guests that included my friends Steve McKenna (publisher of Dan’s Papers), Dr. Cindy Bressler and Lisa Hartman. Proceeds and equipment from the event went to FitnessforCharity.org
Jennifer Nicole Lee at one point described her path to fitness as a personal struggle, where she was nearly 200 pounds after having kids, and through determination and her own fitness formula, lost over 70 pounds and is now one of the top three leading females in the fitness industry, according to Yahoo. Lee’s trademark phrase is “Strong is the new skinny,” and you can see why—her energy and power is remarkable.
We went through an entire routine of her fitness program, which consists of circuit training that focuses in on each muscle group. By the end, I was so drenched in sweat I was practically embarrassed. Nothing is better than having a morning of working out in the Hamptons, it’s just so healthy and Jill could not have been a more gracious host.
