Jennifer Lopez Returning to Idol? Reports Appear Legit
She off. She’s coming back. She’s not coming back. She’s performing live and probably coming back. She performed live but she’s not coming back.
Well, now it seems Hamptons resident Jennifer Lopez is in fact returning to the American Idol judges table for the show’s upcoming 13th season. Deadline.com reports that Lopez reached an agreement with the Fox network and an official announcement should be made within a week or two.
The report says country star Keith Urban is on board to return as well, but longtime judge Randy Jackson and diva judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey will not be back at this point. Ryan Seacrest will also return as host of the show, but (surprise!) Brian Dunkleman will not.
Lopez is said to be earning about $15 million for returning to the job she left back in May of 2012. That should keep her Water Mill mansion well stocked in cerveza.
In other news, the Season One finale of Lopez’s lesbian drama The Fosters concluded Monday night on ABC Family. She thanked fans for watching with her in a tweet after the episode, noting, “Can’t wait to show you what we have in store for next season!!!”
