Southampton Soap Co. Competes in Martha Stewart Contest
Southampton Soap Company, a homegrown Hamptons business, is competing in the Martha Stewart Living American Made contest and asking for neighbors’ help to win the $10,000 prize.
More than 2,000 small businesses that offer products designed and manufactured in the U.S. are competing.
Deborah and Chris O’Shaughnessy, the wife and husband team behind Southampton Soap Company, make soap using all-natural and local ingredients.
On southamptonsoapcompany.com, the O’Shaughnessys write, “Our own sensitive skin needs led us to making soap about ten years ago and we have been perfecting our craft ever since. It’s part science, part art, part sensual, part ritual.”
If they win the Audience Choice Award, the O’Shaughnessys will receive $10,000 to bolster their business, a trip to New York City to attend the American Made Workshop, and a feature story on marthastewart.com.
