Wölffer Vineyard Candlelight Fridays Return
Wölffer Estate Vineyard’s Candlelight Fridays is back this evening, October 25, heating up the East End winter for another season.
As the weather cools, the Sagaponack winery gets festive with the annual music series.
“It’s a warm and cozy event,” said Judy Malone, Wolffer’s executive marketing & communications director.
Held weekly into the spring, the event combats the chill and inevitable tedium of the off-season with live music, wine by the glass and bottle, and cheese and charcuterie plates for purchase. With no cover charge, it’s a popular, relaxing way to kick off the weekend.
Music is held inside the winery tasting room, and outdoor heating lamps allow East Enders to comfortably enjoy the crisp air—enhanced by a glass of warm, mulled wine—on the back terrace. Rich red wines are particularly popular in the winter. “They’re warming,” Malone said.
Live music is from 5 to 8 p.m., and this week features the musical repertoire of The Gumbo Collective.
