Stephen Talkhouse Show Friday Will Benefit Surfrider Foundation
This Friday, November 22, the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett is hosting “Don’t Rock the Beach,” a benefit for Surfrider Foundation.
The name of the event is a play on Surfrider Foundation’s position that sandy beaches should not be “hardened” with bulkhead and boulders. Surfrider Foundation, which has a chapter on eastern Long Island, is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the worlds oceans, waves and beaches.
For a $10 donation, enjoy the music of Jettykoon, a Montauk band including Thomas Muse, Abby Levin and Billy Lucey. Listen to a few of Jettykoon’s songs ahead of time at jettykoon.com.
Proceeds will support Surfrider’s mission and to lobby that federal funding for Superstorm Sandy recovery be spent wisely.
The show begins at 7 p.m. All who arrive before 7:30 p.m. will receive door prizes. Stephen Talkhouse is located at 161 Main St, Amagansett.
