People Say holds its inaugural event. For a $5 cover, watch musicians, poets and comedians performs in an open mic event. People Say is located at the Water Mill Shoppes, above the storefront that was formerly Citarella and Avanti.
• Dan’s Papers Literary Prize Readings, Southampton Inn, Southampton Village
Saturday, November 23, 5-7 p.m.
Guests can enjoy wine and cheese next to a roaring fire, while three talented writers present their original literary works. Dan Rattiner will host.
• Typhoon Relief Concert, Bay Street Theatre, Sag Harbor
Sunday, November 24, 7 p.m.
For a $25 donation at the door, enjoy the music of the East End’s Gene Casey, Nancy Atlas, Lola, The Vandettas, Inda Eaton, Joe Delia & Thieves, and The HooDoo Loungers. Proceeds will support the American Red Cross’ efforts to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
