Alec Baldwin, Katie Couric to Appear on Mariska Hargitay-Directed 'Law & Order: SVU'
Amagansett’s Alec Baldwin is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that also has the distinction of being the directorial debut of series star Mariska Hargitay, of East Hampton.
Another East Hampton resident, Katie Couric, will have a cameo on the episode, as herself, according to time.com. Baldwin will portray a newspaper columnist, who Couric will interview.
Though Baldwin recently penned an essay for New York Magazine saying he is quitting public life, he also made it clear he has no intention of quitting acting. And he also hosted a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo just this past weekend at Guild Hall of East Hampton with Hamptons International Film Festival.
Hargitay, who recently celebrated her 50th birthday, has portrayed the character Olivia Benson for 15 seasons. Expect to see her Baldwin episode this spring.
