Love and Life! Southampton Youth Bureau Photo Contest Now Accepting Submissions
Southampton Youth Bureau has announced Love and Life as this year’s installment of their annual youth photography contest. The contest is open to any middle or high school student, grades 6–12, who submits a picture of their interpretation of the theme — in this case Love and Life.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three winners and photos will be displayed in Southampton Town Hall and showcased in a student exhibit at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill during the month of January, 2015.
The Parrish will be offering free photography workshops with preregistration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 and Saturday, May 3.
Contest entries can be in black and white, color or in a digitally remastered format, but they must be submitted by Friday, May 9. All photo entries must include the photographer’s name, grade, address, phone number, email address and a brief explanation as to why the image was chosen for submission.
Participants may send up to three photographs. All entries will become property of the Town of Southampton and may be used for promotional purposes.
