Attention Expensive Car Owners: Parking Laws Still Apply
Despite a long-standing and insuppressible rumor to the contrary, six-figure cars are, in fact, subject to handicapped parking laws.
Many people have bought into the false notion that if a vehicle cost more that $100,000, it is exempt from parking regulations. This includes parking in designated handicapped parking spaces without a permit, parking against the direction of traffic, double parking, and parking in two stalls at once.
Believe it or not, all of these behaviors that are illicit for drivers with vehicles with a sticker price in the four- and five-figure range do indeed apply to Maserati, Aston Martin and Lamborghini owners.
