Cops: Drunk Driver Had Heroin, Vodka
A driver pulled over in Southampton Village early Monday for failing to stop at a stop sign was found to be intoxicated with heroin in her vehicle plus open bottles of vodka, according to police.
Police said that when Marianne R. Rajacic, 38, of Staten Island was stopped in her 1996 Nissan on North Main Street at about 1:38 a.m. she gave the officer false identifying information.
Rajacic was charged with felony DWI and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, also a felony, as well as second-degree criminal impersonation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and circumventing an interlock device, which are all misdemeanors.
Rajacic was also found to have an warrant for her arrest outstanding from New York City, police said.
The Nissan was seized under the Suffolk County Vehicle Seizure Law.
