Hamptons Dining Dish: Living Room, Backyard, Riverhead Project, Maple Tree BBQ

The Living Room at c/o The Maidstone is serving a three-course prix fixe, for $69 plus tax and gratuity, with a complimentary glass of Prosecco or a mimosa for all moms. Menu items include fresh local oysters, the farmer’s omelette, grilled ribeye and open-faced lasagna.
The Backyard Restaurant at Sole Eastin Montauk is reopening for the 2014 season on Friday, May 9, under the direction of new chef Marlon Rambaran. The seasonal menu will consist of fresh and locally sourced items such as scallop ceviche, pulled pork smoked shoulder, the Backyard lobster roll and crème brûlée. The Backyard will be open the first weekend on Friday and Saturday for dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and brunch on Mother’s Day. For the remainder of May and early June dinner will be served Thursday through Sunday with lunch on weekends. The Riverhead Project in Riverhead is continuing their weekly wine dinner, The Wine Project. The first Tuesday dinner of every month will be hosted by Empire State Cellars, an all-New York State beverage showcase shop in the Riverhead Tanger Outlets. Upcoming dates include: June 3, July 1 and August 5. Each dinner will feature a multi-course family style menu paired with select wines. Maple Tree BBQ in Riverhead is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The menu features seven types of barbecue with items including: North Carolina style BBQ pulled pork, southern fried chicken, Saint Louis ribs, Caribbean beef, corned beef and cabbage and fresh baked cornbread with honey butter.
