Jennifer Lopez Goes Vegan and Loves It
Move over, meat: Jennifer Lopez has recently completed a 22-day vegan challenge and reportedly enjoyed it!
Opening up about the new animal-friendly diet, the Water Mill resident said, “I didn’t know how good you can feel when you put healthy stuff in your body.” The American Idol judge talked to Ryan Seacrest about the switch on his radio show Wednesday morning. With the switch, Lopez joins the likes of Beyonce, Jay Z, Brad Pitt, and Natalie Portman, who have all eliminated meat from their diets.
Although Lopez is reportedly back to eating fish occasionally, the 44-year-old has another reason to feel good: her book, True Love is being released this October. The book, which started out as a diary for her 2012 Dance Again Tour, includes never-before-seen photographs of what Lopez says is one of her life’s most defining periods. In a news release, True Love publisher Penguin Books stated that the book focuses on, “the transformative two-year journey of how, as an artist and a mother, [Lopez] confronted the greatest challenges, identified her biggest fears, and ultimately emerged a stronger person than she’s ever been.” Parts of the book’s proceeds will benefit the Lopez Family Foundation, which aims to improve the health and well-being of women and children worldwide.
The singer, who bought a $10 million dollar mansion in Water Mill last year, shined in a shimmering silver dress to the American Idol finale Wednesday night. Now that rocker Caleb Johnson has been crowned the new American Idol, and Lopez is free (at least momentarily) from the judges’ table, perhaps we’ll see her chowing down at Fresh, Bridgehampton’s own vegan-friendly restaurant!
