Jonathan Adler Designs T-Shirt for Shelter Island 10K
East End design icon Jonathan Adler has designed the commemorative T-shirt for this year’s 35th anniversary Shelter Island 10K.
Anyone who has bought mod furniture or housewares has probably picked up or at least admired one of Adler’s designs. The Shelter Island resident has been creating pottery since 1993 and expanded more recently into furnishings and other accessories. Adler is also the author of a number of books on interior design including My Prescription for Anti-Depressive Living and 100 Ways to Happy Chic Your Life, among others.
He is also a very talented T-shirt designer, evident by his work for the Shelter Island 10K run, which moves right through his Shelter Island neighborhood each year. In fact, don’t be surprised if you see Adler, his longtime partner, style guru, author and television personality Simon Doonan and their dog Liberace taking in the scene on race day!
The Shelter Island 10K Run will be held Saturday, June 21 at 5:30 p.m. The race will also have raffles and family-friendly activities for those not actually running.
