Crescent Beach

Type/location: Sandy Beach, Bay, Shore Road and Crescent Beach Road.
Parking: A beach sticker is required. Resident permits are free. Week pass: $35, must be consecutive 7 days. Month pass: $75, must be consecutive 31 days. Season pass: $200, Friday before Memorial day ends on the Monday of Labor Day.
Dogs: No
Picnic area: No
Lifeguards: Yes, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Concessions: Restaurant across the street
Trash cans: Yes
Bathrooms: Yes
Alcohol: Yes, no glass
Bike racks: No
Beach Fires: Yes, must be thoroughly cleaned up afterwards
4×4 access: No beach driving between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. during summer season. 5-mph speed limit. Permit required. The permits are available at the Town Clerk’s office for a fee of $25 per year for residents and $100 for non-residents.

Shell Beach

Type/location: A narrow finger of land roughly three quarters of a mile in length that protrudes into West Neck Harbor and Shelter Island Sound. Dirt road. Oak Tree Lane.
Parking: A beach sticker is required. Resident permits are free. A daily beach parking pass is now available for $20 at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall, 631-749-1166. Week pass: $35, must be consecutive 7 days. Month pass: $75, must be consecutive 31 days. Season pass: $200, Friday before Memorial day ends on the Monday of Labor Day.
