As part of the Hamptons International Film Festival SummerDocs series, Alec Baldwin will host a screening of the documentary Life Itself on Saturday, June 21, at 8 p.m. at Guild Hall in East Hampton.
Life Itself, from director Steve James and executive producers Martin Scorsese and Steven Zaillian, recounts the life of film critic Roger Ebert, who died last year.
The film is based on Ebert’s memoir of the same name, exploring the legacy of his life and career from the Chicago Sun-Times to Siskel & Ebert and beyond.
Following the film, Ebert’s widow, Chaz Ebert, will give a Q&A.
SummerDocs is co-curated by Baldwin and HIFF artistic director David Nugent.
Admission is $23.
