Richard and Lucille DeSimone Honored for Good Works
Sag Harbor’sRichard and Lucille DeSimoneof Alpha 1 Marketing were recently honored for their good works by the Tri-State Italian-American Congress at the group’s 25th anniversary Gala at the Metropolitan Club in New York.
Attendees and speakers included the Most Holy Rev. Nicholas Dimarzio, the Hon. Natalia Quintavalle, Louis Fusco Jr., Archbishop Emeritus of New York Edward Egan and Archbishop of New York Timothy Michael Dolan.
Richard and Lucille DeSimone are bot third-generation Italian-Americans born and raised in Westchester County who now reside in Sag Harbor. Their love of golf and commitment to giving back has led them to assist in several good industry charity golf outings. Richard and Lucille also share a passion to help students in need attend Catholic schools.
Richard serves as the vice president and board member of the Tri-State Italian-American Congress, a nonprofit organization that provides educational opportunities for Italian-American children. Over the past twenty-five years, the Congress has given over $3 million to more than 2,300 students. In the year 2013 alone, the Congress disbursed $330,000 to students in the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Brooklyn.
On June 16, the 25th anniversary Gala of the Tri-State Italian-American Congress honored Richard and Lucille for their contributions to these accomplishments and their own efforts to help those in need.
