Ina Garten to Host Garden Party Benefiting Child Advocacy Center
Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa, is putting on a party at her home in East Hampton this Friday, July 25, to support the Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center at the Pat & Mary Bagnato Place for Kids.
Guests will congregate for wine, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres in Garten’s gardens, tour her test kitchen where she films her show, receive a signed cookbook, and have the opportunity to meet Garten. Special guest Katie Beers will discuss the issue of child abuse and how the Child Advocacy Center provides a neutral, child-focused environment where a coordinated response to child abuse allegations may be pursued in ways that support and protect children, non-offending parents, and other family members.
The Child Advocacy Center is among the Long Island nonprofit EAC Network’s 70 programs that protect at-risk children, support senior citizens, help people with mental health and substance abuse problems, educate people seeking financial independence, assist individuals who are under or unemployed, mediate disputes, and work with families in crisis.
July 25’s party is from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $500 per guest. To RSVP, call 516-539-0150 extension 117.
