Bill Clinton Golfs at Montauk Downs During Birthday Week
Last Wednesday, the day after his 68th birthday, former President Bill Clinton enjoyed a round of golf at Montauk Downs Golf Course.
Clinton is the first U.S. president to ever play the course, according to The East Hampton Star. He is said to have played in a foursome that included Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. (In September last year, former President George W. Bush played at the National Golf Links in Tuckahoe dring the Walker Cup.)
Bill and wife Hillary Clinton are renting in Amagansett this month, and have both been spotted around the Hamptons in recent weeks. Hillary held book signings at BookHampton in East Hampton and Books & Books in Westhampton Beach.
The Clintons, daughter Chelsea Clinton, son-in-law Marc Mezvinsky and six guests celebrated Bill’s birthday with dinner at Sotto Sopra in Amagansett. (Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly was also spotted at the restaurant that night, dining separately.)
