ARF Marks 1,000th Mobile Adoption
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, based in Wainscott, can go anywhere with its mobile adoption van to make it easier for potential pet parents to meet cats and dogs.
ARF purchased the 26-foot van a little over two years ago and has been successful ever since at finding forever homes for pets. The van has traveled to pet stores, fairs, festivals, parades and other gatherings to promote adoption.
On September 27, ARF reached a milestone when the van had its 1,000th adoption. Christine and Alfonso Paradinas, a young couple who live in New York City and East Hampton, adopted 4-year-old Molly, a Scottie recently rescued from a Missouri puppy mill. The adoption took place at the new Bridgehampton Petco.
“The Paradinas family was delighted to welcome Molly as a new member of their family,” ARF stated. “They left the van leading Molly on her new ARF leash and wearing their new ARF baseball caps with high hopes for the future.”
