Jennifer Lopez Honored at Variety 'Power of Women' Luncheon
For its Power of Women issue this month, Variety featured five different women in entertainment on five variant covers, including Water Mill’s Jennifer Lopez.
Variety’s annual Power of Women luncheon was held Friday in Beverly Hills at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, where Lopez spoke of her Lopez Family Foundation. She explained she and her sister Lynda started the foundation in 2009 to provide access to healthcare for women and children without the resources she enjoys.
The Power of Women luncheon focuses on organizations that have personal significance to honorees.
In addition to being an accomplished musician and actress and an American Idol judge, Lopez is also a producer of both television and film. She is slated to star in an NBC drama Shades of Blue as a single mother who is an undercover FBI agent.
