Women's Media Awards Honor Katie Couric, Barbara Walters

East Hampton’s Katie Couric and Southampton’s Barbara Walters are among the powerful women to be honored Wednesday at the Women’s Media Awards in New York City.
The Women’s Media Council will present Couric with the WMC Pat Mitchell Lifetime Achievement Award. Walters will receive the WMC Media Trailblazer Award.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid hosts the awards, which will also fête Amma Asante with the WMC Directorial Excellence Award for Belle and Ursula Burns, the CEO of Xerox, with the WMC Carol Jenkins Visible and Powerful Media Award.
The awards take place at Capitale. Cocktail hour begins at 7 p.m. and dinner starts at 8 p.m. For tickets ($500), click here.
