Everyone’s been raving about the Peconic Bay scallops everywhere they’re served, and rightly so. But when the season is over there are still a number of delish reasons to dine at Race Lane in East Hampton. Chief among them in Hamptons Epicure columnist Stacy Dermont’s considered opinion is the Portobello Antipasto with local favorite Good Water Farm’s micro basil, shaved Parmesan and balsamic vinegar. She describes the dish as “so fabulously velvety and savory.” Race Lane, 31 Race Lane, East Hampton, 631-324-5022, racelanerestaurant.com
