Tim Ferriss Podcast Named Among iTunes' Best of 2014
Lifestyle guru, 4-Hour Workweek author and Springs native Tim Ferriss has a podcast, and it’s a hit on iTunes.
As more proof of Ferriss’s continued success and widespread appeal to fans around the world, The Tim Ferriss Show was selected among iTunes’ “Best of 2014,” and it is currently featured among iTunes’ “Chart Toppers” on the service’s “New to Podcasts?” page. The show is listed among mega-hits such as The Daily Show Podcast and 2014’s breakout smash Serial, made by the creators of This American Life.
As noted on Ferriss’s blog (at fourhourworkweek.com), his podcast is usually the #1 business podcast on all of iTunes, and it has been ranked first among all podcasts in all categories on numerous occasions.
With 54 episodes since its debut in April of 2014, The Tim Ferriss Show tackles a wide breadth of topics as Ferriss interviews and deconstructs “world-class performers from eclectic areas,” such as business, investing, art, sports and more, in order to help him and the listener find various tools, tactics and tricks to improve personal performance in each particular topic or skill.
Chatting with tech developer and investor Kevin Rose in the first episode, Ferriss notes that the show aims to be like Bravo’s In the Actor’s Studio, without limiting it to acting. His conversations are long form and in-depth, while remaining informative and entertaining.
Prior guests include Pixar president Ed Catmull, self-help guru Tony Robbins, billionaire investor Peter Thiel, Linkin Park rhythm guitarist, songwriter, keyboardist, and co-vocalist Mike Shinoda, chess prodigy Josh Waitzkin (the real-life inspiration for Searching for Bobby Fischer), screenwriter Brian Koppelman (of Rounders and The Illusionist), Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern and many more.
