Brian Mitchell Returns to Nancy Atlas Fireside Sessions Friday
The Nancy Atlas Fireside Sessions, sponsored by Dan’s Papers, returns for another rockin’ night at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor this weekend!
Every Friday in January and March, Nancy Atlas and her band welcome a special guest to the stage for a one-of-a-kind night of music and a little mayhem.
This Friday, January 16, come see the one and only Brian Mitchell, who will be joined by Clark Gayton.
Mitchell rocked the house performing in last year’s Fireside Sessions, and now he’s back for more!
“There is a very direct connection to the audience,” Mitchell reveals about what he loves about playing to the Bay Street Theater crowd. “The enthusiasm that they show ends up effecting the music in a very positive way. The crowd is enthusiastic and lets the performers know it!”
If you’ve never been to one of the Fireside Session performances, Mitchell says, this is the one to get you started. “It will be something unique and fun-if you like to have a funky good time, this show is for you.”
Every installment of the Fireside Sessions, we ask Nancy to give us three words to describe that week’s guest, and for Brian Mitchell, she instantly came up with “Funkolicious New Orleans.”
Asked to return the favor, Brian’s three words for Nancy make it clear why you won’t want to miss the fun this Friday night: “Fabulous, infectious, positive, electric, enthusiastic…I tried to stop at three but I got too enthusiastic!”
After the show, come by Muse in the Harbor at 16 Main Street, Sag Harbor, buy yourself a drink and say hello to all the musicians from the show who will be there—it’s quite a party!
