Southold Supervisor Offers State of the Town Address Thursday
Scott A. Russell, the supervisor of Southold Town, will deliver the annual State of the Town Address on Thursday, February 26, at Southold Town Hall.
The entire community is invited to this public event.
“The purpose of the address is to inform the public and staff of the Town’s accomplishments in 2014 as well as set goals for 2015 and the future,” the office of the supervisor states. “Highlights will include a discussion of promoting effective government to citizens despite the tax cap and unfunded mandates from New York State. In addition there will be discussion of legislative updates, environmental and planning initiatives as well as an evaluation of Town facilities and assets and capital needs for 2015 and beyond.”
“I look forward to sharing highlights of the many achievements of 2014, as well as defining a vision with residents of goals that they wish to attain in the future,” Russell said.
Written reports from town departments will be available.
The address begins at 7 p.m. in the town hall meeting hall.
