Cops: Man Stabbed in Road Rage Incident in Calverton
Michael Doroski, a 25-year-old Wading River man, is charged with felony assault following a road rage incident in which he stabbed a man, according to Riverhead police.
Police said that at 3:36 p.m. Sunday they responded to Sound Avenue near Fresh Pond Road in Calverton where it was reported a man was the victim of a stab wound to the chest.
The victim, a 48-year-old Hampton Bays man, suffered a laceration to his left hand in addition to having been stabbed, police said. He was treated by Riverhead ambulance personnel then airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.
Police determined the man was involved in a road rage incident, in which he struggled with another man.
The second man, Doroski, presented himself at Riverhead police headquarters, where he was charged with second-degree assault.
