Preppy Pop-Up Takes Former Dash Location in Southampton
Now that Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are through taking the Hamptons, their former Dash pop-up location has been taken over by a new tenant, Country Club Prep.
Billing themselves as a “one-stop online retailer for preppy apparel,” with more than 100 preppy brands online, Country Club Prep co-founder Stephen Glasgow (with
Matt Watson) says he’s hoping the 64 Jobs Lane location—their third brick and mortar store—will capitalize on the company’s large online presence in the New York City area and connect with “the historic ties traditional preppy style has to the region.”
The shop will showcase one of Country Club Prep’s best selling men’s and women’s brand, and rotate in new brands each month, while also supplementing their inventory with additional preppy staples, such as Jack Rogers, Julie Vos and Smathers & Branson needlepoint products. They will also host gatherings during the summer, including events to celebrate Southampton’s 375th anniversary.
“Summers in the Hamptons are widely-known for their major events, and Country Club Prep plans to join right in on the fun,” the Southampton store’s manager, Amanda Caldwell, says. “Whether it’s happy hour on Friday or a monogramming party on Saturday, there will be non-stop excitement at the store.”
“If we get the traffic we are hoping to see this summer in the pop-up shop, we look forward to turning the store into a permanent installation,” Glasgow adds.
Country Club Prep is hosting a Grand Opening party on Tuesday, May 19.
