13th Annual Teeny Awards Ceremony Is Sunday
To celebrate the theatrical talent of high school students across the East End, the 13th Annual Teeny Awards will recognize those students who are the best of the best.
Presented by East End Arts at Center Moriches High School, on Sunday, June 7, beginning at 1:30 p.m., nominees will grace the red carpet in anticipation of receiving an award.
Radio personality Walker Vreeland will be broadcasting live from the red carpet on WBAZ 102.5 FM and at 3 p.m. the awards ceremony will officially begin.
Through the Teeny Awards program, East End Arts strives to raise the bar on theater knowledge by encouraging community pride in school productions and increased attendance.
The Teeny Awards were created in 2002, inspired by the Tony Awards for Broadway shows and actors. This ceremony recognizes East End of Long Island talent in high school students, hoping one day these students will make their way to the Tonys.
The public is invited to this ceremony to relive some of their favorite performances from students of the 16 participating high schools on the East End involved in this year’s shows.
