ARF Hosts Fourth of July BBQ, Open House, Vaccine Clinic
In an effort to keep companion animals healthy and independent this summer the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons presents a Fourth of July BBQ and open house at the ARF Adoption Center, 91 Daniels Hole Road in Wainscott from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
It is a good idea to make sure animals are up to date on vaccines; especially in the summer months when the tick population is at its highest. Fortunately, there are vaccines to help prevent many illnesses that affect dogs and cats. Vaccinating animals has long been considered one of the easiest ways to help them live long, healthy lives.
The open house will feature low cost vaccines for $10, including microchipping, rabies, bordetella, and cat and dog distemper. All animals must be spayed/neutered to receive this reduced-cost service.
Anyone who adopts a new pet during the Fourth of July festivities will receive an ARF beach towel or umbrella.
