Harbor and Booby Trap Join Montauk Restaurant and Bar Scene
Harbor opened in Montauk on Memorial Day Weekend with a performance by Ja Rule that had guests singing and dancing in the sand while viewing a quintessential Montauk sunset.
Situated on West Lake Drive in Montauk, Harbor has a familiar Hamptons vibe— a beach bar and restaurant during the day, making way into an equally beachy club experience at night.
Dogs are welcome at this laid back venue, and there are spots to pull up and dock a boat and enjoy a game of table tennis or bocce ball.
The menu has a Mediterranean influence and features seared yellowfin tuna with za’atar, shrimp wood-fired pizza with parsley, basil, garlic and chili; wild black sea bass crudo with grapefruit and breakfast radish; a lobster roll and a flat-iron steak with grilled ramps and chimichurri. Executive Chef Roy Wohlarslike, formerly of Rushmeyers, leads the kitchen.
After the sun sets and 10 p.m. rolls around, the party will start with rosé, specialty cocktails and dancing to ’90s hits, old school hip hop, and uplifting dance music all night long.
Cocktails include mixed drinks such as the Pink Flamingo Martini, Jamo’s Giant Peach Bellini, The Burnt Freckle Pelimino and the Sama Sama Spritzer.
When designing Harbor, owner Jamo Willis was inspired by the laid-back Australian lifestyle in mind, plus a few hints of Capri and San Tropez.
Also on the property is a takeout stand called Booby Trap that serves Greek food such as pressed flat bread wraps, burgers, sandwiches and salads. Booby Trap opens at noon and serves till 5 a.m.
