Shop 'til You Drop: Enjoy Shopping for Last-Minute Gifts for Dad
Just in time for Father’s Day giving—treat Dad to a game of golf via the 11th Annual Hamptons Golf Classic on Monday, June 22, at the Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club in Westhampton. This year’s event will honor cancer survivor and New York Giants fan favorite Mark Herzlich to benefit FCancer, which is dedicated to fighting cancer through raising awareness and educating about early cancer detection. Past attendees have included Kyle MacLachlan, Russell Simmons, Lorraine Bracco and Marc Consuelos, and this year promises to be equally start-studded. A BBQ lunch and a buffet dinner are also on deck. Tariffs range from $3,000 for a foursome to $750 for an individual player. Attending the event while not playing runs $250, with all proceeds going to the charity. Contact [email protected] or call 917-280-2683 for more information.
Father’s Day celebrations can be made easier (and involve zero traffic) thanks to Kitchn Synch (kitchnsynch.com), the first and only Glatt Kosher meal kit delivery service that delivers all the pre-measured ingredients needed to prepare a complete meal (main course and side dish) from scratch. All ingredients and meat (chicken, beef, veal, lamb and turkey) are processed under Glatt Kosher national kosher supervision. Additionally, the recipes are designed to be easy to follow. L’Chaim!
On the fashion front The Outnet (theoutnet.com) is offering same-day delivery to the Hamptons if you’re in the market for discounted designer wear from the likes of Lemlem, Matthew Williamson, Adam Lippes, Current/Elliott, Cushnie et Ochs and Oscar de la Renta, among others.
And, given that it’s approaching peak Hamptons season, there’s always a new store opening on deck. Next month will bring the opening of L’OBJET a la Plage, on Main Street in Southampton, a spinoff of L’OBJET, the popular luxury home and tabletop e-commerce site. A slew of trunk shows are already scheduled, including one featuring luxury resort and ready-to-wear designer Marie France Van Damme, who will be hosting her first-ever Hamptons trunk show at the boutique on Saturday, July 11.
Post shopping, do what we all love most—relax on one of the East End’s stunning beaches. You’ll love being sprawled out on an organic cotton beach towel from Coyuchi (coyuchi.com/mediterranean-beach-towel.html; $68). Woven from dyed organic cotton yarn, they’re edged in hand-knotted fringe, meaning they’re so chic they could pass for oversized shawls. They’re also very lightweight, so despite their roomy dimensions, they’re tremendously portable.
As crucial as continuously lathering on your SPF—and securing a good tanning spot—is staying hydrated. To that end load up on the new Tradewinds Jimmy Buffett’s Island Tea (move over Arnold Palmer!). The line of tropical-flavored teas (Waldbaum’s, 23 Jagger Lane, Southampton; $12.99 per dozen) uses natural flavors and sweeteners, so they’re not only more refreshing, but also less cavity-inducing than your run-of-the-mill fruity drinks. The Caribbean influenced packaging lends itself well to summertime fun. While you’re at Waldbaum’s you can also stock up on your many party needs!
