Celebs All Over the Hamptons Saturday: Zarin, Baldwin, Stern, Grenier, More
It was a busy weekend for celebrities in the Hamptons as they hosted and attended fundraisers and special events.
On Saturday, July 11, South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SoFo) hosted its 26th annual Summer Gala on its Bridgehampton property. Entourage star, SHFT co-founder, producer, director and musician Adrian Grenier attended and was honored at the event, which celebrated local visionaries who are supporters of the Hamptons community. Also among the honorees were acclaimed artist April Gornik and conservationist Willi Salm.
Chuck and Ellen Scarborough hosted the fourth annual Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue Benefit on Saturday at their home in Southampton. Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of Howard Stern and Gimme Shelter supporter, was among the attendees.
Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon, both former cast members of The Real Housewives of New York City, raised money for cancer research at the 11th annual A Hamptons Happening fundraiser. Jon Stone, of the Country duo American Young, model Brittainy Taylor and Dina Lohan also attended the benefit to support Dr. Samuel Waxman‘s namesake Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation Saturday night at the Bridgehampton estate of Maria and Kenneth Fishel.
Amagansett resident, actor and WNYC talk show host Alec Baldwin introduced the Q&A portion of Hamptons International Film Festival’s SummerDocs screening of the new documentary Best Of Enemies on Saturday. Dick Cavett and novelist Kurt Andersen discussed the film, about the 1968 televised debates between intellectuals Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley Jr, with directors Robert Gordon and Morgan Nevill. Actor Bob Balaban was in attendence.
