Southampton Hospital Recognized as 2015 Most Wired Hospital
Southampton Hospital has been named, for the fourth consecutive year, a Most Wired Hospital.
The title is given according to the results of Health Care’s 17th annual Most Wired Survey, an industry-standard benchmark study. It is used to measure the level of IT adoption within American hospitals and health services.
Conducted by Hospitals & Health Networks, the survey was given in cooperation with McKesson Corp., AT&T, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the American Hospital Association.
Southampton President and CEO Robert S. Chaloner said, “Our IT team should be recognized for the exceptional work they are doing to create seamless access to vital patient records throughout the hospital’s entire organization, including an extensive network of satellite facilities and medical practice offices.” He continued, “Digital records will improve the quality of health care for our patients and has the potential to save lives.”
Southampton Hospital has been serving the Hamptons since 1909. It is an affiliate of Stony Brook Medicine and a member of the East End Health Alliance.
