Celebs Were Out and About for Labor Day Week in the Hamptons
As we approach the first weekend after Labor Day in the Hamptons, let’s see which notable celebs helped us close out summer at restaurants and nightspots on the South Fork. There were many.
British singer Rita Ora showed up for a surprise performance at the Surf Lodge in Montauk last Sunday. Class-A hottie and star of HBO’s True Blood and Generation Kill, Alexander Skarsgard, and his companion, model and British Vogue contributing editor Alexa Chung, came to watch. Meanwhile at the club/hotel’s restaurant, artist Richard Prince, designer Cynthia Rowley, her gallerist husband Bill Powers and photographer Ben Watts joined The Surf Lodge owner Jayma Cardoso and artist Lucien Smith for a meal in celebration of Smith’s Vicious Cycles show opening there.
Model Jacquelyn Jablonski, The Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark, gallerist Edsel Williams (of The Fireplace Project) and hospitality publicist Steve Kasuba were also in attendance.
Smith’s Vicious Cycles will remain on view through Sunday, September 13.

Two more notable Zaslav guests, Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King, ate at Nick & Toni’s on Friday—the same night Sarah Jessica Parker and friends, and Hollywood super agent Mike Ovitz and music exec L.A. Reid dined at the popular restaurant.
Ovitz and designer Tamara Mellon, who also attended Zaslav’s party on Saturday, enjoyed the ambience at Sant Ambroeus in Southampton last week.
