Suffolk County Office for the Aging Offers Senior Services on South Fork
The Suffolk County Office for the Aging will be sending out a senior advocate to various locations on the South Fork during the month of January.
Senior advocates travel throughout the county providing senior citizens access to services such as senior information and referral, ID cards, case management and assistance with applications for benefit programs. Through contracts with municipal and community-based agencies, the office also administers a variety of programs such as transportation, home care, respite, home-delivered meals, and nutrition programs.
“We are pleased to be able to provide critical information and services to our respected elderly community,” Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming said. “We are here to help with whatever issues may arise for seniors.”
Fleming expects to accompany the advocate on Friday, January 22, at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton.
