East Hampton Invites Real Estate Brokers, Public to Rental Registry Workshops
The Town of East Hampton invites real estate professionals and members of the public—particularly prospective landlords—to a workshop regarding the town’s new rental registry law and the application process.
• Real estate brokers are invited to attend on Wednesday, January 20, at one of the following times: 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
• Members of the general public are invited attend on Wednesday, January 27, at one of the following times: 1 p.m., 3 p.m. or 5 p.m.
All workshops will take place in the main meeting room of Town Hall at 159 Pantigo Road.

During each workshop, Town staff will walk participants through the rental registry application process and answer any questions on this process that participants may have.
The Building Department will handle and process the applications, which will be available on the homepage of the town website, ehampton.ny.gov, as well as on the Building Department’s webpage. The phone number for this department is 631-324-4145. Inquiries regarding the rental registry may also be directed to [email protected].
On January 15, rental registry applications will become available on the town website or at the Building Department, 300 Pantigo Place, and the town will begin accepting completed applications. The form may be filled out online but must be submitted either in person or by mail, along with the $100 application fee.
On February 1, the Building Department will begin issuing rental registration numbers. Then beginning May 1, the town will fully enforcement the rental registry law.
