Between 1 and 3 inches of snowfall could accumulate Friday night on the East End, mainly after midnight, according to the National Weather Service, which says a major winter storm is possible this weekend.
Snow is very likely—70% chance–to continue all day and night Saturday. The forecast, at this time, does not say how many inches may accumulate Saturday. Snowfall could continue until noon on Sunday.
The weather service says heavy snow, strong wings and moderate coastal flooding are all possible this weekend. Temperatures will be around, or below, freezing.
