Jue Lan Club Brings Artful Chinese Fare to Southampton
Jue Lan Club, the fine modern Chinese restaurant which recently opened in the former Limelight church in NYC, is expanding to Southampton this summer.
The 6,000-square-foot restaurant and its nightclub, The Barn @ Jue Lan Club, makes its Hamptons debut in the former home of Circo Southampton and Delmonico’s at 268 Elm Street on Memorial Day weekend.
From restaurateur Stratis Morfogen, Jue Lan Club in Manhattan has quickly gained a reputation for its style, celebrity clientele and exclusive nightlife scene.
The new 200-seat hotspot hopeful looks to bring a “fresh take” to the Hamptons with signature Asian dishes, nightlife and art exhibitions.
“As a resident of Southampton, opening Jue Lan Club in the Hamptons was always part of my vision for the brand and the former Savanah space is perfect for the outpost,” Morfogen says. “Our upscale fare coupled with vibe dining perfectly complements the East End’s residents and vacationers. Plus, our nightlife programing will fill a void in the Hamptons hospitality scene.”
Named after the Jue Lan Society, a secret Chinese art club from the 1930s, Jue Lan Club Southampton will serve many of the NYC flagship’s staple dishes, such as Drunken Sea Bass, Braised Oxtail Bao Buns, Shrimp Crystal Dumplings and Chicken Satay.
The restaurant will be open Monday and Wednesday from 5 p.m.–12 a.m., Thursday–Friday 5 p.m.–1 a.m., Saturday 5 p.m.–4 a.m. for dinner, and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight (closed Tuesday). It will serve Dim Sum brunch Saturday 11:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
The late night lounge will be open Thursday–Saturday.
Jue Lan Club is already accepting reservations for the Southampton location, which opens on Thursday, May 26.
